Hollywood Has a New Address. For Four Days, It Was Cannes.

How Glow Studio recreated Paramount’s iconic Bronson Gate for MIPCOM 2026 in Cannes through experiential design, precision fabrication, and technical production.

For decades, Paramount’s Bronson Gate has stood as one of Hollywood’s most recognizable landmarks.

In October 2026, it made an unexpected appearance thousands of miles away, on the French Riviera.

At MIPCOM 2026 in Cannes, visitors encountered a 90%-scale recreation of Paramount’s iconic Bronson Gate, complete with the architectural character that makes the original Hollywood studio entrance instantly recognizable.

Behind the transformation was Glow Studio.

Not Just an Entrance. An Arrival.

Paramount wanted to bring a recognizable piece of its Hollywood heritage to an international gathering of the entertainment industry. Rather than invent a new visual landmark, the concept drew on one of the studio’s most enduring assets: the Bronson Gate.

Recreated at 90% of its original scale, the custom-built entrance became the gateway to Paramount’s meeting and hospitality environment in Cannes.

The idea was immediately recognizable. Executing it would take more than a convincing façade.

Getting Every Detail Right

For Glow Studio Founder and Creative Director James Schnauer, the process began at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles, where he photographed the original gate firsthand. Those images informed the digital model and the recreation of the gate’s intricate architectural features, including the fine filigree around the arch.

“We were thrilled to have the opportunity to recreate such an iconic piece of Hollywood architecture in Cannes. We went back to Paramount Studios in Los Angeles to capture every intricate detail of the original, knowing how important it was to get it right. Translating that into a temporary structure was a complex challenge, especially with the adjustments required for the venue. But seeing the finished installation, and how closely it captured the character of the original, was incredibly rewarding.”

Reference photography became the foundation for detailed 3D modeling and precision 3D-printed ornamental elements, produced as exact replicas of the original’s details. Yet appearance was only half the assignment. The gate also had to function as a temporary, engineered installation, attached to the front of Paramount’s exhibition tent at the entrance to its meeting and hospitality space.

That called for a custom steel base set on the sand below the Croisette level, topped by a lightweight aluminum framework that carried the final cladding of painted wood, trim, and 3D-printed details. Proportions were adjusted slightly to fit the existing door openings while staying faithful to the original. Between the arch’s columns, a printed stretched-fabric sky graphic completed the façade, and side walls of truss and printed fabric, mounted with dimensional framed prints, echoed the exterior walls of the studio. Uplighting brought out the details and added drama after dark.

The work moved quickly: Glow built the installation and shipped it from the U.K. to Cannes in roughly three weeks. Each decision had to balance visual fidelity with the realities of fabrication, logistics, and installation.

The Experience Became the Story

The finished installation gave visitors an unmistakable point of arrival: a piece of Hollywood transplanted to Cannes.

It also created a natural moment for photographs and conversation, extending the experience beyond the physical entrance. Paramount’s Lisa Lasarenko, who oversaw the build, told Variety that visitors were regularly stopping to take photos in front of the gate.

Variety featured the installation in its MIPCOM 2026 booth roundup, bringing additional attention to the project and the creative thinking behind it. Read the Variety feature. Paramount has said it plans to keep the arch and find ways to use it again.

When a Brand Becomes the Environment

The most compelling aspect of the Bronson Gate wasn’t simply its scale. It was the choice to make an established piece of brand history tangible in a new setting.

An exhibition can communicate identity through graphics and messaging. But when the brand itself becomes the environment, visitors do more than recognize a story. They enter it.

For Glow Studio, the Paramount Bronson Gate project brought together experiential design, technical development, exhibit fabrication, production, and logistics in service of one clear idea: make the familiar feel extraordinary again.

In Cannes, Hollywood had another front door.
